March 11, 2024: Eighty percent (80%) of voters believe that it is important to make sure that in vitro fertilization (IVF) services remain available. A Scott Rasmussen national survey conducted by RMG Research found that this included 51% who say it is very important. The total includes large majorities of both Republicans (75%) and Democrats (89%). Just 6% say IVF should be against the law.

The survey also found that 68% have favorable opinions of IVF, while just 9% have unfavorable opinions, 8% have never heard of it, and 14% are not sure.

Methodology

The survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on February 28-29, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of Registered Voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
