March 13, 2024: The average state minimum wage in 2024 is $10.69, up from $10.47 in 2023 and $9.85 in 2022. The highest minimum wages are $17 in Washington, DC and Washington State, and $16 in California. Twenty states use the federal minimum wage of $7.25.[1]
