March 18, 2025: Eighty-nine percent (89%) of voters say somebody who graduates from high school should be able to read, write, and possess other basic skills needed to get a good job and function as an adult in society. A Napolitan News Service national survey conducted by RMG Research found that just 6% disagree.

The survey also found 63% say that if a student does not possess these skills, they should not be allowed to graduate. Twenty-two percent (22%) disagree, and say they should be allowed to graduate.

Methodology

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on March 10, 2025. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
