May 14, 2019: So far, 104 federal judges nominated by President Donald Trump have been confirmed.
At this point in their term, only 3 of the past 13 presidents had appointed more federal judges than Trump: Bill Clinton (141), George W. Bush (124), and John Kennedy (116). Trump's predecessor—Barack Obama--had appointed 19 fewer justices at the comparable point in his first term.
There are currently 148 vacancies in the federal court system. Seventy-nine (79) individuals have been nominated by Trump and are awaiting confirmation.
