May 15, 2023: Thirty-nine percent (39%) of voters believe it is possible to move all U.S. power production to renewable sources within10 years. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 32% say it is not possible, and 29% are not sure.

The survey also found that 62% of voters would not be willing to pay more than $25 a month to move to renewable energy sources. That includes 33% who are not willing to pay anything

Methodology

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on May 2-3, 2023. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.

The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
