May 30, 2025: One hundred and three (103) years ago on May 30, 1922, Former President William Howard Taft dedicated the Lincoln Memorial. The monument was approved by Congress to be built in 1867, but several delays occurred, including World War I. The statue of Abraham Lincoln is 19 feet tall and was designed by Henry Bacon.[1]
