November 14, 2022: If America needed to fight a war today, 68% of voters believe that the military would be ready to fight and win. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 23% say the military would likely not be ready, and 9% are not sure.
The survey also found that 49% believe the military is better trained and prepared today than it was twenty or thirty years ago. Twenty-eight percent (28%) say it is less well trained, 7% think it is about the same, and 15% are not sure
Methodology
The survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on November 1-3, 2022. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.
The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 2.8 percentage points.
