November 21, 2019: Twenty percent (20%) of American Adults believe churches and religious organizations do more harm than good in society. A Pew Research survey found that 55% take the opposite view and believe religious groups generally have a positive impact on society.[1]
However, when it comes to politics, opinions are more evenly divided. Thirty-seven percent (37%) say religious groups have too much influence in politics, 28% say not enough, and 34% believe the balance is about right.[1]
