November 24, 2022: According to the National Turkey Federation, 5.1 billion pounds of turkey was consumed in the United States last year. That’s equal to 15.3 pounds per person. The U.S. is the world’s top producer of turkey, with production last year of 216.5 million turkeys, or 5.6 billion pounds. Around 10% of that was exported.[1]
