November 28, 2024: Thirty-one percent (31%) of voters consider Thanksgiving to be one of the nation’s most important holidays. A Napolitan News Service national survey conducted by RMG Research found that 13% say it is one of the least important, and 53% say Thanksgiving falls somewhere in between.

The survey also found that 28% of voters say they will travel to visit family or friends. Twenty-three percent (23%) will host family or friends. Forty-one percent (41%) will just celebrate with immediate family, and just 8% will not be celebrating.

Methodology

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on November 25, 2024. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
