November 28, 2025: Seventy percent (70%) of voters plan to do Christmas or holiday shopping this year. A Napolitan News Service national survey conducted by RMG Research found 21% are not planning to do any shopping.

The survey also found 15% say they will spend more on Christmas and holiday gifts this year compared to last year. Thirty-six percent (36%) say they will spend about the same as last year, 18% say they will spend less, and 30% were not asked, as they did not claim they will be doing any shopping for Christmas or the holidays.

Methodology

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on November 17-18, 2025. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of Registered Voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.

Scott Rasmussen is the president of RMG Research, Inc. and founder of the Napolitan Institute.
