October 14, 2025: Twenty-one percent (21%) of voters say they are very closely following news stories about the war between Israel and Hamas, with 40% saying they are somewhat closely following. A Napolitan News Service national survey conducted by RMG Research found 22% are not very closely following these stories, and 15% are not at all closely following.
The survey also found that 13% say it is very likely that the proposed peace plan made by President Trump will lead to a lasting peace in Israel and Gaza, with 20% saying this is somewhat likely. Twenty-nine percent (29%) say this is not very likely, and 25% say it is not at all likely.
Methodology
The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on October 6-7, 2025. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of Registered Voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
Scott Rasmussen is the president of RMG Research, Inc. and founder of the Napolitan Institute.
