October 17, 2023: Sixty-three percent (63%) of voters believe it is either very likely (32%) or somewhat likely (31%) that Iran was heavily involved in the attack on Israel. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that only 10% of voters believe it is either not very likely (7%) or not at all likely (3%) that Iran was heavily involved in the attack.
The survey also found that 42% of voters believe that the recent exchange of $6 billion to Iran in exchange for the release of five U.S. prisoners played a significant role in the launching of the attack against Israel.
Methodology
The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on October 9-10, 2023. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the -sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.
The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
