October 18, 2024: Thirty-three percent (33%) of voters rate the state of relations between people of different faiths and religions as either good (25%) or excellent (8%). A Napolitan News Service national survey conducted by RMG Research found that 25% rate interfaith relations as poor. Thirty-nine percent (39%) offer an in-between response and say such relations are fair.

The survey also found that 51% of voters believe that, looking forward 20 years from now, relations between people of different faiths and religions will be either much better (11%) or somewhat better (40%). Thirty-one percent (31%) of voters say in 20 years those relations will either be somewhat worse (19%) or much worse (12%).

Methodology

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on October 9, 2024. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.

Scott Rasmussen is the president of RMG Research, Inc.
