September 7, 2018: Data from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) shows that approximately 1,400 Americans under the age of 26 earned more than a million dollars in 2016.[1]
That total includes 930 who earned at least $1.5 million and 45 whose earnings topped $10 million.
Overall, those earning more than $75,000 were in the top 1% for their age cohort. Eight out of 10 earned $25,000 or less.
