April 5, 2022: In disputes between the freedom of individuals and the authority of government regulations, 64% of voters want the Supreme Court to be more supportive of individual freedom. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 18% take the opposite view and want the Court to be more supportive of government regulations.
Currently, 34% believe the Court is too supportive of government regulations, 17% say it is too supportive of individual freedom, and 28% say the balance is about right.
Methodology
The survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on March 24-27, 2022. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.
The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 2.8 percentage points.
