December 19, 2022: 105 years ago the first NHL games were played. The league had four teams, all in Canada, who all played on December 19, 1917. In Montreal, the Montreal Wanderers defeated the Toronto Arenas 10-9, and in Ottawa, the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Ottawa Senators 7-4.[1]
