December 8, 2020: Asked about seven leading news sources, 36% of voters said none of them are unbiased and present the facts in a neutral manner. A PoliticalIQ survey found that 49% of Republicans hold this view along with 44% of independents. However, only 18% of Democrats agree.[1]
Nearly half (48%) of Democrats see CNN as an unbiased source of information, and 38% of them say the same about The New York Times. Among Republicans, 30% see Fox News as unbiased.[1]
Overall, 30% of voters see CNN as unbiased, followed by The New York Times (25%), Fox News (24%), PBS (22%), The Washington Post (17%), MSNBC (16%), and The Wall Street Journal (15%).[1]
In all cases but Fox News, Democrats are more likely to see the news source as presenting facts in a neutral manner.[1]
