Scott Rasmussen's Number of the Day for February 22, 2023

February 22, 2023: Twenty-eight percent (28%) of voters say their personal finances are getting better. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 36% say they are getting worse, and 35% say they are staying about the same.
The survey also found that 48% of voters say the U.S. is currently in a recession. Twenty-six percent (26%) say it is not, and 26% are not sure.
Methodology
The survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on February 9-12, 2023. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of Registered Voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.
The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
