February 25, 2022: Seventy-three percent (73%) of voters believe home schooling is a good option for parents who have the time and ability to provide it. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 21% disagree and 6% are not sure.[1]
Seventy-six percent (76%) of Republicans believe home schooling is a good option. So do 74% of independent voters and 68% of Democrats.[1]
The survey also found that 62% believe private schools provide a better education than public schools. Twenty-five percent (25%) disagree.[1]
Methodology
The survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on February 17-19, 2022. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.
The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 2.8 percentage points.
