July 11, 2018: Seventeen percent (17%) of Republican adults have kissed at least 50 people. That’s slightly higher than the 14% of Democrats and 16% of independents who claim such variety.[1]
This data from a YouGov survey may, however, primarily reflect the fact that Republicans on average tend to be older than Democrats or independents. As might be expected with the aging process, those with more years under their belt have also kissed more people. In fact, the data shows that 19% of 18- to 24-year-olds have never been kissed.
Overall, 15% of American adults have kissed 50 or more people. The YouGov survey reports that 11% have kissed between 21 and 50 people, 29% have kissed between 5 and 20 others, and 22% have kissed fewer than five people. Twenty-three percent (23%) either didn’t know or didn’t want to say.[1]
