June 1, 2022: Forty-five percent (45%) of voters think that reducing inflation would do the most to help working-class Americans. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 24% think cutting taxes and government spending, 16% think a $15 minimum wage, and 5% think making it easier to organize unions.
The survey also found that 74% of voters have personally experienced problems caused by high inflation over the past few months. Seventeen percent (17%) have not, and 8% are not sure.
Methodology
The survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on May 19-22, 2022. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.
The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 2.8 percentage points.
