Scott Rasmussen's Number of the Day for June 12, 2019

June 12, 2019: Seventeen percent (17%) of voters nationwide now trust the federal government to do the right thing most or all of the time. A ScottRasmussen.com national survey found that 42% rarely or never trust it. In between are 41% who trust the federal government some of the time.[1]
When it comes to trusting the federal government, Asian voters are pretty evenly divided.[2] Twenty-four percent (24%) of Asians trust it most of the time while 25% rarely or never do so.
Others are more skeptical. Among white voters, 17% trust the federal government most or all of the time while 43% say rarely or never. Black voters exhibit similar doubts—18% most of the time, 44% rarely or never. And the numbers are not all that different for Hispanic voters—16% of Hispanic voters trust the federal government most of the time while 41% hardly ever trust it.
It has been nearly 50 years since a majority of all voters trusted the federal government most of the time.
