June 13, 2022: Eighty-two percent (82%) of voters say it is important for agencies of the federal government to remain neutral and non-partisan in elections, including 60% who say it is very important. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that just 8% say it is not important, and 10 % are not sure.

The survey also found that only 38% of voters support President Biden’s executive order to mobilize federal agencies for voter turnout efforts, while 47% oppose it and 15% are not sure. Forty-seven percent (47%) believe the order is primarily designed to help Democrats in the midterm elections. Just 35% believe it is primarily designed to help people vote, and 18 % are not sure.

Methodology

The survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on May 27-28, 2022. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.

The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 2.8 percentage points.
