March 19, 2019: Forty percent (40%) of Democrats say it is not possible for them to like and respect someone who supports President Trump.[1]
A ScottRasmussen.com national survey also found similar disdain among Republicans for those who oppose the president. Thirty-eight percent (38%) of GOP voters say it is not possible to like and respect someone who belongs to the anti-Trump resistance.
It’s important to recognize that most voters do not dismiss others because of their views about the president. Among all voters, just 21% say they cannot respect Trump supporters while 22% cannot support members of the resistance.
