March 9, 2022: In terms of how they will vote, 70% of voters consider national security very important. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 66% rated inflation as that important and 62% said the same about violent crime. Education (56%) and supply chain issues (55%) were the only other issues seen as very important by more than 50% of voters.
COVID is now seen as very important by 43% of voters. A recent Number of the Day shows that a growing number of voters believe the worst of the pandemic has come and gone.
In terms of party trust, the GOP has a double-digit advantage on four of the top issues. The parties are even on education.
Methodology
The survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on March 3-5, 2022. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.
Note: Neither Scott Rasmussen, ScottRasmussen.com, nor RMG Research, Inc. have any affiliation with Rasmussen Reports. While Scott Rasmussen founded that firm, he left nearly a decade ago and has had no involvement since that time.
