November 1, 2023: Sixty-two percent (62%) of voters believe it is likely that the fighting in Ukraine and the Middle East poses a significant threat to the national security of the United States. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that just 17% of Americans disagree, and believe that the wars in Ukraine and the Middle-East pose no significant threat to the United States.

The survey also found that 63% of voters believe that American soldiers will eventually be sent into battle in the Middle East, while 25% of voters believe this is unlikely to happen.

Methodology

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on October 18-19, 2023. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the -sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.

The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
