Scott Rasmussen's Number of the Day for November 6, 2023
The Number of the Day columns published on Ballotpedia reflect the views of the author.
November 6, 2023: Thirty-seven percent (37%) of voters believe that colleges have been too lenient in criticizing professors who support Hamas and attack Israel. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 20% of voters believe colleges have been too harsh in criticizing these professors
The survey also found that just 14% of voters have been very closely following recent news about protests on college campuses related to the Middle East.
Methodology
The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on October 23-24, 2023. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the -sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.
The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
