“Running for office is not a decision I made lightly. We can either participate or we can watch; this year I’ve chosen to participate. Why? For many reasons — but, a large motivation for me was the way the COVID experience and its associated mandates have affected small businesses here in Knox County and across the state. I’m also concerned about the disruptions to our education system and our healthcare system. We now see additional knock-on effects like high inflation, fuel costs, and the dramatic increase in the cost of living such as the ever-rising cost of food.

I believe we are at an important point as we decide the future path that Maine is going to take. I am running for office to be a strong voice for the people of Knox County at the State House. My experiences as a local business owner, my work in Washington, D.C., and as a logistical coordinator for disaster relief is the perspective we need in Augusta. My first priority will always be to listen to my constituents — and what I’m hearing from people right now is that they are not satisfied with the direction our government is headed.”

Foster economic development to create an environment that entices businesses and industry to grow. Increase job opportunities to attract people to stay in Maine and thrive. Support and enhance the infrastructure (education, health care, municipal and social services) of which we live. Reduce federal and state over-reach both on the individual, commercial fishing, and farmers, and businesses when appropriate.
