Scott Rudder
Scott Rudder (b. August 19, 1969) is a former Republican member of the New Jersey General Assembly, representing District 8 from 2008 to 2014. Rudder served as Assistant Minority Leader.
Prior to his election to the Assembly, Rudder served as Mayor of Medford from 2005 to 2008, and as a member of the Medford Council from 1998 to 2008.[1]
Rudder did not seek re-election in 2013. His seat was filled by Republican Maria Rodriguez-Gregg.
Biography
Rudder earned his B.A. in political science from West Virginia University. His professional experience includes working as Manager of Business Development at Lockheed Martin. Rudder served in the N.J. Army National Guard from 1996 to 2000.[1]

- A3020 Requires permanent driver's license suspension for third drunk driving offense.
- A3077 Prohibits member of Legislature from holding local appointive office or position; removes provision allowing current members holding more than one elective position as of February 1, 2008 to continue to do so if service continuous.
- A3878 Provides 10% reduction in compensation for members of Legislature.
- A4172 Requires lobbyists and governmental affairs agents to file annually with ELEC information on certain for profit and not-for-profit activities.[2]
Elections
2011
Rudder won re-election in 2011. He and incumbent Patrick Delany ran unopposed in the Republican Primary on June 7. They then defeated Anita Lovely (D), Pam Finnerty (D) and Robert Edward Forchion, Jr. (I) in the general election.[3]Republican Patrick Delany has since resigned and withdrawn from the race. Freeholder Chris Brown (R) will replace Delany on the ballot.[4]
2009
Successfully winning re-election in 2009, Rudder was bracketed with Dawn Addiego (R) and defeated challengers William Brown (D) and Debbie Sarcone (D).[5][6][7]
