Scott White (Washington)
Scott White was a Democratic member of the Washington State Senate from January 10, 2011, until his death on October 21, 2011.[1] He was serving as Majority Whip at the time.
White formerly was a member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing District 46-Position 1 from 2009 to 2011. White served as an Assistant Majority Whip. He served as the chair of the 46th District Democrats from 2003 to 2007.
Biography
White earned his B.A. in political science. White was a part-time instructor of Public Policy for the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington. He was also a former Chief of Staff for the Metropolitan King County Council.[2]

Scott White was elected to the Washington State Senate District 46. He ran unopposed in the August 17, 2010, primary and in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3][4]

On November 4, 2008, Democrat Scott White won re-election to the Washington House of Representatives, District 46-Position 1 receiving 71.58% of the vote (42,410 votes), defeating Democrat Gerry Pollet who received 28.42% of the vote (16,842 votes).[5]
