Scotty got his start in politics walking precincts for candidates and circulating initiatives in local politics. Scotty got involved in politics when the Irvine city council decided to give special rights to a class of people based on who they sleep with. Scotty led a group of volunteers that successfully qualified an initiative and then got it passed by the voters, eliminating those special rights.

Scotty’s background is in architecture and construction. He was on the Irvine and Newport Planning Commissions for 12 years combined. He then got elected to the Newport Beach City Council in 2014. Not afraid to tell It like it is, Scotty survived a recall attempt after criticizing the Supreme Court for getting it wrong when they “found” a right to same sex marriage in the Constitution.

Scotty is married to Linda, who he met at Mariners Church, he has 3 grown Children. Scotty has lived in the district for over 30 years.

Scotty is running for the State Assembly in the 73rd Assembly District. “Someone needs to step up and run against these incumbent Democrats.” The incumbent evidently cannot define a man or woman, as she passed a new law requiring schools districts to provide free tampons in the men’s bathroom. When a legislator doesn’t know the difference between a man and a woman, how can you trust them to make any wise decisions on anything?

  • Public Safety and the Border

    1. Now illegal Aliens are being given free healthcare in California. Last year it was only 55 and older. Starting in January this year all illegal aliens are being given free healthcare. While citizens are fined and punished if they do not have healthcare coverage.

This expansion is projected to cost more than $835 million in the next six months and $2.6 billion every year thereafter.

    2. Human Trafficking is a real problem

    3. Fentanyl and drug trafficking has literally killed hundreds of thousands of Americans

    4. Causes homelessness and a strain on social services that are at an all time high.

    5. Thousands of military age men from China have been crossing. Who knows how many terrorists are crossing.

  • Inflation and the Economy Gas and Electricity prices are through the roof! Government isn’t the solution it is the problem. It spends more than it takes in. Government is killing the economy. We have a $68Billion deficit this year on a roughly $200Billion budget. Does anyone think we are taxed too little? We have the highest income tax of any state, our gas tax is the 2nd highest in the country. But those are just the obvious taxes. There are hidden taxes like the cost of gas, electricity are almost twice as much in Ca as in other states. Basically everything is more expensive in CA, mostly because of government regulation.
  • EDUCATION We are doing a poor job educating our children. We are ranked 36th in the nation yet we spend the highest amount per student in the nation. We have always been stealing our kids’ innocence, and indoctrinating them. But now it is happening overtly. The school Districts in my district they are: Not teaching Reading, writing and arithmetic Instead, are teaching Heather has 2 mommies and Drag Queen Story Hour. And now the latest, helping our kids to transition to the opposite sex without parental consent or knowledge, calling it “gender affirming care”.
RACE DISCRIMINATION IN SCHOOL ADMISSIONS

State tried to overtly allow for discrimination based on race through trying to reverse Prop 209 in 2020

Assembly Constitutional Amendment 5, authored by Assemblywoman Shirley Weber, D-San Diego, would repeal the prop 209 affirmative action ban approved by voters in 1996. That constitutional amendment was approved by the Assembly in a 60 to 14 vote, including Petry-Norris. IE Petry-Norris wants state sponsored racism. It was on the 2020 November ballot as Prop 16 where, fortunately, it was soundly defeated 57%-43%.

2023 US Supreme Court decision on the Harvard case declared it unconstitutional to use race as a basis for admission. THIS PRACTICE SHOULD STOP NOW.
Ronald Reagan. Love his quote: The nine most terrifying words in the English language are "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."

The best government is the government that governs least.
Someone that has an established world view, so that they are not transformed by Sacramento, but instead can transform Sacramento. My personal world view is a Judeo/Christian, Biblical or traditional World View.

A candidate that has some life experiences is also a good thing.

I listen well, learn fast, and am not afraid to take action.
This is a leadership position and what you will do will reflect on your district. You want you district to reflect on Sacramento.
Summer job during college wiring PC boards and electrical panels.
Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis. The story is amazing. Its principles timeless.
Open communication about priorities and direction. We may not always agree but should be able to always discuss our differences.
We are at a tipping point as to whether we will be free and independent OR dependent on the state for everything. We are being over regulated, over taxed
Since it takes 41 votes to pass anything in the legislature, you should always have at lease 40 friends!
The legislative body is too cumbersome to oversee emergency powers. You could perhaps delegate some of that oversight to a particular committee or not. Like it or not in a true emergency we expect the governor to act in the best interest of the people.

If the governor were to abuse his powers, like eating at the French Laundry while the masses are forbidden from going out, then the legislature or a committee from the legislature should have oversight.

By definition if a situation, like COVID, were go on beyond 30 days, it should no longer be considered an emergency and edicts should go through the legislature on an expedited basis.
If PROTECT KIDS CA is not successful in qualifying and passing their initiative, I would author a bill that would:

REQUIRE PARENT NOTIFICATION FROM SCHOOL Requires schools to notify parents regarding children’s mental health concerns identified in school settings, including gender identification issues.

PROTECT GIRLS SPORTS Protects girl’s competitive sports and school spaces to be for biological girls only.

PREVENT CHILD STERILIZATION Prevents the sterilization of children by prohibiting the use of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, mastectomies and genital surgeries for minors.

Everything should be readily available online to our constituents as soon as possible. Since the media does seem to hold government accountable any longer, the people need to do that , and they need to have all info available all the time.
