Growing up the son of a single mother with little financial means taught me to appreciate the dignity of a hard day’s work and the importance of giving back when you are able. I care deeply about my community and have dedicated my life to public service as a public school teacher, President of Parma City Council, and in my many philanthropic and volunteers endeavors. I want to take what life has taught me and put it to use to make life better for all Ohioans, particularly those living in the district I am running to represent.

My focus has been and will continue to be on supporting public education, the right of workers to organize, bolstering local government funding, fiscal responsibility, building the best safety forces, improving infrastructure, adding amenities, beautification, and attracting businesses to the area. These are the keys to retaining and attracting new residents and ensuring a quality of life everyone longs for. My experience, work ethic, and ability to bring together stakeholders will allow me to continue on this successful quest. In Columbus my goal will be to strive to find common ground between Democrats and Republicans. We have more in common than we have differences and, together, we can improve the lives of millions.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards, State legislative scorecards in Ohio

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
