Sean Crandell
Sean Crandell is a judge of the Superior Court of Riverside County in California. Crandell assumed office on September 3, 2021. Crandell's current term ends on January 8, 2029.
Crandell won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of Riverside County in California outright in the primary on June 7, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.
He was appointed to the court on September 3, 2021 by Gavin Newsom (D).[1]
Although California Superior Court judges are elected in nonpartisan elections, a press release from Gov. Newsom's office announcing Crandell's appointment on September 3, 2021, identified him as a Democrat.[1]
Biography
Crandell received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. He has served in various positions at the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office since 1996. Prior to his 2021 appointment to the Superior Court of Riverside County, he served as a Senior Deputy District Attorney at the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office since 2014.[1]
