I stepped into politics because I saw the disconnect between what's happening in our government and what everyday people actually need and want. Having kids really put that into perspective for me, the kind of future we're building matters. My work life hasn't been glamorous; I've served food, sold goods online, and even tried to get a couple of my own business ideas off the ground. These experiences have given me a real firsthand look at the struggles and dreams of our citizens from all walks of life. I'm drawn to thinks built of quaity craftsmanship and that shapes how I approach this role: Aiming for solutions that will not only resolve current events, but will support those of generations to come. Let's cut through the nonsense and get back to work for the people we represent.
  • Central to my campaign is ensuring that governance truly reflects the will and needs of the community. I'm here to listen, advocate, and act on your behalf, making sure every decision is grounded in the voice of our citizens.
  • I'm committed to driving economic growth by empowering local businesses and entrepreneurs, coupled with investing in infrastructure that's not only sustainable but also prepares us for the future.
  • Fiscal accountability is non-negotiable; every dollar spent should result in genuine value. With that, I advocate for progressive policies such as sensible cannabis reform; focusing on individual rights, education with an emphasis on health and safety, and leveraging the economic benefits for growth.
My focus centers on five key areas: driving economic growth, fostering sustainable infrastructure, ensuring fiscal accountability, upholding government transparency, and advocating for sensible cannabis policy. Fundamentally, it's about serving as a steward for the community, amplifying the voice of the people I represent.
My father stands out as my greatest role model, embodying the essence of hard work and excellence. He was a jack of all trades, yet seemingly mastered them all, always emphasizing the importance of quality work. His commitment to rectifying mistakes and ensuring things were done correctly left a lasting impression on me. Despite my rebellious phase, his influence remained steadfast, shaping my principles and approach to life. His way of blending compassion and empathy with discipline and integrity has profoundly impacted how I live and think today, guiding me to strive for those same values in my own life.

Integrity, transparency, and accountability are my guiding principles. My background has sharpened my empathy and problem-solving abilities, making me adept at finding practical solutions. Committed to serving as a true voice for the community, I'm focused on delivering results that genuinely reflect our shared values and needs.
Core responsibilities include being a steward for constituents through moral and ethical decision-making, transparently advocating for their interests.
My aim is to leave a legacy where I've not just served, but also ignited a drive in people to expect and ensure accountability from their leaders. I hope to be remembered as someone who brought real, positive changes and encouraged a culture of active, informed engagement in our community.
It's a small personal experience that has greatly influenced my life. My grandfather was in the hospital with complications from diabetes. We were visiting him and as we went to leave, he grabbed me and pulled me back to him to tell me that he loved me, in this moment he taught me "I Love You" in sign language and told me goodbye. I was too young to realize at that moment what this meant, or how much it would influence me over the years. It is a memory that I hold deep and dear to my heart. I was 6 years old at this time.
My first job, in a less official capacity, involved helping my father with cleanup and miscellaneous tasks during the Frontier Pies remodel in Pocatello. My first official job was with Mountain River Kirby in Idaho Falls in a hard sales position. I quickly realized in just a few weeks that this type of work was far removed from my true nature and personality
"Marijuana Is Safer: So Why Are We Driving People to Drink?" stands out to me for its critical look at societal norms. It questions why we often prioritize the louder voices over the rational majority. The book goes beyond cannabis, prompting a deeper reflection on how we assess safety and truth in our decision-making.
I'd choose to be Michael Ross from "Suits." His incredible ability to retain and understand everything he reads, almost instantly, really strikes a chord with me. The idea of having a photographic memory like his has always been somewhat of a desire, especially given how useful it would be in understanding complex issues and making informed decisions.
Recently, I've had "The Machine" by Tom MacDonald and "Scotland The Brave" by John McDermott stuck in my head. My music preferences change often, so ask me again next week, and you'll likely get a different answer.
Navigating the challenge of overthinking has been a significant journey for me. It's a double-edged sword that has fueled my thoroughness and attention to detail in problem-solving, but it has also led to moments of doubt and hesitation. Learning to balance this trait has been crucial, turning it into a tool for thoughtful decision-making while ensuring it doesn't hinder action and progress.
The ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature is one of collaboration and mutual respect, grounded in a shared commitment to serving the public's best interests.
Key challenges include managing economic growth while ensuring sustainability, maintaining and upgrading infrastructure to meet future demands, and navigating the complexities of education reform to better prepare our youth.
While experience in government can offer insights, it's not a prerequisite for effective state legislation. Fresh perspectives from outside the political realm are crucial, bringing innovative ideas and real-world solutions that truly reflect the voice of the people.
Absolutely, building relationships with fellow legislators is key, especially when these connections are rooted in a shared commitment to representing our constituents' voices. Such relationships enable collaboration and dialogue, ensuring that even across party lines, we're united by the common goal of serving the public's best interests, ultimately leading to more meaningful and impactful legislation.
I'm not looking to mirror any specific legislator. Instead, I'm set on being a genuine statesman for the people, concentrating on impactful policies that boost our infrastructure and economy, and push for real transparency and accountability.
While I'm open to exploring broader political roles in the future, my current priority is solidifying my platform and demonstrating my dedication to the citizens I represent. It's about making a tangible impact here and now, laying a foundation of trust and effective governance.
Every time I hear about someone from our community overcoming adversity or helping a neighbor, it reinforces why I'm here. It's this unwavering community spirit that drives me to push for policies that reflect the voice of our citizens.
I recently read a a scientific study that said humans eat more bananas than monkeys. Really? Yeah, when is the last time you saw a human eating a monkey?
Yes, legislative oversight on the use of emergency powers is crucial for maintaining our system's checks and balances. It ensures that such powers are used judiciously and reflect the constituents' views, preserving democratic principles even in crises.
If elected, my first actions would involve introducing two key pieces of legislation. The first aims to protect our electoral integrity by setting clear guidelines against ranked choice voting and proposing a constitutional amendment for additional electoral safeguards. The second focuses on establishing a robust regulatory framework for the hemp industry, laying the groundwork for sensible cannabis policies. This includes a use tax specifically allocated for infrastructure improvements and educational funding, ensuring that our approach to cannabis reform also contributes to broader community benefits.
I've chosen not to seek direct endorsements for my campaign. This journey is rooted in grassroots principles, driven by a genuine passion for representing our citizens authentically. It's about reviving the true spirit of a statesman, focusing on the community's needs rather than aligning with special interests or relying on significant financial backing. My commitment is to the people and the values that should define leadership.
Taxpayers should have a fundamental right to know how and where their funds are being used, as well they should have the power to hold accountable those responsible for misappropriation of funds through eggregious, nefarious, or self-serving spending.
