Sean Eldridge was a 2014 Democratic and Working Families Party candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 19th Congressional District of New York.[1] Eldridge ran unopposed for both nominations in the primary on June 24, 2014.[2] Sean Eldridge lost the general election on November 4, 2014.

Personal wealth

The New York Times wrote an article that portrayed Eldridge as a jet-setter, unfamiliar with the concerns of the average citizen of New York's 19th. The National Republican Congressional Committee then used this article to accuse Eldridge of being "rich and out of touch."[3]

Endorsements

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee included Eldridge in their "Jumpstart" program. The program provided financial support to the candidate.[4]
