A United States Air Force Veteran, Sean served in the Active Duty Air Force from 1999-2005 and in the Air National Guard from 2005 to 2014, all the while working as an F-16 Avionics Technician. In the Air National Guard and attending college for Electrical and Computer Engineering, he met his lifelong love, Iza Reyes. Elected in 2019 to Mebane City Council, Sean pledged to be a common-sense, bipartisan leader. He has delivered on that promise with bringing new ideas and new opportunities to Mebane, including a Development Grant program for the Historic Downtown and new jobs at United Parcel Service (UPS) as well as Lotus Bakeries (world famous for making Biskoff cookies). He has proudly ensured no property taxes rates were increased.
  • Expand Medicaid in North Carolina
  • Fully Fund Public Schools and increase Teacher Pay
  • Continue to bring good paying jobs to the District
Investing in clean energy and expanding rural broadband are two areas of public policy the campaign is laser focused on.

North Carolina is poised to be a leader in providing clean energy and low-cost hybrid and electric transportation. During these inflationary times, we have an incredible opportunity to bring so many good paying jobs to upgrade and prepare our infrastructure. While the infrastructure is getting upgraded, we can also bring manufacturing to the State which would allow residents cost-effective hybrid and electric vehicle transportation options.

Expanding rural broadband would have exponential improvements to the people of North Carolina. In the age of COVID, we have learned the importance of having connectivity in the home to ensure children and adults are learning and will continue to learn. Connecting rural homes to broadband will allow these educational opportunities. Furthermore, allowing rural connectivity will help small businesses access a greater market for their services or products. Internet connectivity is a win-win for everyone in North Carolina.
The amount of growth in the State is going to be a substantial challenge. Smart growth is key to ensure that that we keep bringing great jobs to the State, while ensuring we don't grow so much that those residents already here are priced out of their homes. We have to find ways to balance keeping North Carolinian history with a changing future.
Absolutely. Legislation is not a quick nor easy process. Government and politics need people that know how to work with one-another to bring good change for the people of North Carolina
Yes, definitely within one's own Party is needed to understand how to move legislation forward and also working across the aisle to hear everyone's opinions and ideas.
A non-partisan board is key to ensure proper representation during redistricting
Absolutely, and most importantly that legislation is enacted for the betterment of North Carolinians. My focus is to use all pathways of communication to find any common ground to move forward on. The people of North Carolina deserve more opportunities and better lives.
