Gallagher was re-elected to the Eighth District Court of Appeals for a six-year term on November 4, 2008, effective until February 8, 2015.[3]
Education
Gallagher received his undergraduate degree from Ohio University and his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.[4]
Career
Gallagher began his legal career as a juvenile probation officer in Cuyahoga County. After four years, he became a common pleas court bailiff for Judge Donald Nugent. Gallagher worked in this position for six years before becoming an assistant prosecuting attorney in Cuyahoga County in 1991, serving in the felony division and the Economic Crime Unit of this office. In 1997, he became a judge for the Cleveland Municipal Court and served on this court until his election to the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals in 2002.[4]
