Sean P. Dowling was a judge for the Superior Court of Nevada County in Nevada County, California.[1] He was appointed to the bench in August 2005 by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to replace Judge Ersel Edwards. Dowling retired from the court in January 2015.[2]
Education
Dowling received both his undergraduate and J.D. degrees from the University of San Francisco in 1971 and 1974, respectively.[2]
Career
- 2005-2015: Judge, Superior Court of Nevada County
- 2007-2010: Presiding judge
- 1997-2005: Court commissioner, Nevada County and Sierra County
Prior to serving on the courts, Dowling worked as an attorney in private practice for twenty-two years.[2]
