Biography

Sean Steeg was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from Loyola Blakefield High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from Juniata College in 2000. His career experience includes working as the chief executive officer and co-founder of Juniata Brewing Company.[1]

  • Effective representation has to be active representation. Presenting as an obstacle to progress is only effective if things are already going well for everyone.
  • There is no more important thing we as a state have in our jurisdiction than education. With an educated citizenry, we can only grow as a commonwealth.
  • In the 81st District, we have a tremendous opportunity for growth so long as we can fuel the needs of today's workforce. In simpler words, broadband infrastructure in particular can ignite an area with real estate like ours.

Removing restrictions on personal thought/action (IE, ending book bans, ending abortion bans)

Pushing legislation and legislators forward and doing the job of public servant to improve the lives of everyone in the Commonwealth.
An elected official is a public servant. If you are paid a full-time wage to be an elected official, the people are paying you to make their lives better, and if that's not the question that's foremost on your mind at all times, you should not be an elected offical.
I can reach the end of a train of thought faster than most, evaluting solutions to determine the best ones. I have often argued against my own positions in municipal meetings in an attempt to shoot them down and work through issues to make sure they were able to withstand scrutiny.
First national thing: the Challenger explosion. First local thing (I was born and raised in Baltimore): the Colts leaving for Indianapolis.
I was a busboy at Denny's; I lasted for most of my senior year in high school before I needed to leave the job to focus on my classwork.

Absolutely. In the end, as much as we seek to build systems of laws, rules, regulations, and offices, everything is still made up of people, and we're social creatures.
