Sean Sullivan (Connecticut)
Sean Sullivan (b. November 30, 1958) was a Republican candidate for District 19 of the Connecticut State Senate. The primary election was on August 10, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.
About
Sullivan earned his bachelor's degree from the United States Naval Academy in 1980. He earned an M.A. from National Security Affairs in 2002 and a J.D. from the University of Connecticut in 2006. Sullivan's professional experience includes working as an attorney with Brown Jacobson P.C. He also served as a commanding officer on the U.S.S. Jefferson City in the United States Navy in 1996 and as a base commanding officer with the United States Navy from 2004 to 2006.[1]

Sullivan was uncontested in the August 10 primary. He was defeated by incumbent Democrat Edith Prague in the November 2 general election.[2][3]

Sullivan and his wife, Sharon, have four children. They reside in Ledyard, Connecticut. Sullivan has served on a number of organizations, including as a board member on the Ledyard Rotary Club and with the Ledyard Board of Education. He also served on the board of directors with the Ladyard Education Advancement Foundation and with the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Maryland.[1]
