|I moved to Bulverde, Texas, for my father's care, graduating from Claudia Taylor Lady Bird Johnson High School in 2016, then attending Northeast Lakeview Community College. Education has always been a cornerstone of my personal growth.
In 2017, I enlisted in the Air Force, fueled by a strong desire to serve my country. Although my military career was shortened due to medical reasons, it instilled in me values of integrity and commitment. During my service as an LGBTQ+ individual, I actively advocated and fought against discrimination, striving to foster an inclusive environment. This period was crucial in shaping my perspectives on leadership and equality.
Balancing military duties with education, I earned a Bachelor's in Finance from Pennsylvania State University in 2023. My early exposure to business, assisting in my mother's venture, laid the foundation for my later role as a leader in our family business. As a candidate in TX-12, I am committed to representing our community with the same dedication and integrity. My journey has uniquely positioned me to be a voice for equality, inclusivity, and resilience.- Commitment to Service and Integrity: Rooted in my military background, my campaign is built on the values of service, integrity, and dedication. I aim to bring these core principles to governance, ensuring that every decision and policy is guided by a commitment to serve the best interests of our constituents in TX-12.
- Advocacy for Inclusivity and Equality: As an LGBTQ individual who actively fought against discrimination in the military, championing inclusivity and equality is a cornerstone of my campaign. I am dedicated to creating a community where every individual, regardless of their background or identity, is respected, valued, and has equal opportunities.
- Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency: Drawing from my experience in finance and business management, I prioritize fiscal responsibility and transparency in government spending. My aim is to ensure that taxpayer money is managed wisely and effectively, with clear accountability and oversight, to foster trust and efficiency in our public institutions.
Fiscal Responsibility: My background in finance has instilled in me a strong belief in the importance of fiscal responsibility. I am dedicated to ensuring that government spending is efficient, transparent, and accountable, with an emphasis on reducing wasteful expenditure and optimizing the use of taxpayer dollars.
Government Accountability: I firmly believe in the need for greater accountability in government. Public officials should be held to the highest ethical standards, and there must be robust mechanisms in place to ensure transparency and accountability in all aspects of governance.
Protecting Women’s Rights: Women’s rights are human rights, and I am committed to protecting and advancing these rights. This includes advocating for equal pay, reproductive rights, and policies that address and prevent gender-based violence.
JFK's ability to unite the nation with his eloquent speeches and his call to action for the common good left a lasting impact. His famous exhortation, "Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country," encapsulates the essence of selfless service and civic responsibility. This call to action speaks to my core values and my motivation for entering public service.
Kennedy was also a visionary leader, setting ambitious goals like landing a man on the moon. He was not afraid to dream big and push the boundaries of what was possible. This kind of forward-thinking and determination is something I strive to emulate in my political career.
Furthermore, Kennedy's efforts in advocating for civil rights and equality, though met with resistance, showed his commitment to justice and his belief in a more inclusive America. His willingness to take on challenging issues, even when they were not politically convenient, demonstrated a level of integrity and courage that I admire and seek to embody.
Fiscal Responsibility: With a background in finance and experience managing a family business, I possess a deep understanding of fiscal management, ensuring taxpayer money is used efficiently and responsibly.
Advocacy for Equality: As a proud member of the LGBTQ community, I am deeply committed to promoting inclusivity and fighting for the rights of all individuals, reflecting my belief in equality and justice.
At such a young age, I watched alongside her, perhaps not fully comprehending the magnitude of what was happening but deeply affected by her reaction. It was a moment of profound confusion and fear, not just for my family, but for the entire nation and the world. The intensity of the event was such that my mother, like many others, was completely absorbed by the unfolding crisis, perhaps not even fully aware of my presence beside her.
The widening economic gap poses a significant challenge. Addressing this requires policies that promote equitable wealth distribution and economic opportunity for all, while ensuring fiscal responsibility in government spending. This means advocating for fair tax policies, investment in education and healthcare, and responsible budgeting that prioritizes the needs of the many over the few.
2. Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability:
Climate change remains one of the most pressing global challenges. The U.S. must lead in implementing sustainable environmental policies, transitioning to renewable energy, and investing in green technology. This aligns with my commitment to responsible governance, ensuring that our environmental policies are sustainable and consider long-term impacts on future generations.
3. Political Polarization and Governance:
The deepening political divide hinders effective governance and threatens national unity. Overcoming this division requires a renewed focus on bipartisanship, ethical conduct, and transparent leadership. It’s imperative to strengthen democratic institutions and promote civic engagement, ensuring that governance truly reflects the will and interests of the people.
4. LGBTQ Rights and Social Inclusivity:
Advancing the rights and protection of LGBTQ individuals and other marginalized groups is crucial. This involves combating discrimination in all forms, promoting equal rights, and ensuring inclusivity in policy-making. Upholding the dignity and rights of every citizen is fundamental to a just and equitable society.
5. Immigration Reform and Border Security:
My platform, which emphasizes fiscal responsibility, government accountability, and protecting the rights of all, including the LGBTQ community, is built on the understanding that effective policy requires collaboration and sometimes concessions. This doesn’t mean sacrificing core values but rather finding ways to achieve shared goals while respecting different viewpoints.
