The Judicial Update

September 28, 2011

New Mexico: On Friday, September 23, former federal prosecutor Samuel L. Winder was appointed to fill a spot on the New Mexico Second Judicial District Court left by the retirement of Judge Albert Murdoch. In addition to working as a prosecutor, he has also practiced criminal defense with a firm he opened in 2009. Governor Susana Martinez said this, in announcing the appointment, "Mr. Winder's experience as a prosecutor, a defense attorney and with tribal issues makes him highly qualified to serve on the 2nd Judicial District bench."[1]
