Her dedication to assisting the unhoused and supporting youth initiatives earns her widespread admiration, painting a portrait of a leader deeply connected to the community’s pulse.
“The bottom line is to show the community that there are options [for representation]— you don’t have to vote for someone who you’re not happy with,” Pemberton answered about her candidacy in a CityView Magazine interview. “The community is asking for certain things. We have a high percentage of Democrats in the area that are conservative.” Pemberton continued. “So even if I’m not on their same ticket, I still represent part of what they’re looking for. I also represent the ability to get something done within the next two years.”
- Funding: I will advocate for money coming to Fayetteville for the various needs of the city, including projects that prepare Fayetteville for technological advancements that create job opportunities and support economic growth.
- Public Safety: I will champion increased funding for police departments, ensuring they have the resources and training to keep our community safe while advocating for reforms promoting accountability and trust.
- Education: I will advocate for the rights of parents and children along with better pay and working environment for educators. I will support alternative education programs, investing in vocational training, apprenticeships, and diverse schooling options.
I believe in the second amendment rights of all citizens and their right to defend themselves. I will advocate for the protection of these rights.
Fayetteville is an area of unlimited potential. I will work to ensure funds are directed to the city to accomplish current goals and future enhancement relating to economic development, housing, resources that address the unsheltered population, and other critical matters.
I will champion increased funding for police departments, ensuring they have the resources and training to keep our community safe while advocating for reforms promoting accountability and trust.
