Biography
Sena Lloyd was born in Sacramento, California. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2007. She earned a master's degree from San Jose State University in 2009. Loyd's career experience includes working as an information professional, and as a registered lobbyist with the Nevada Library Association and the City of Carson City. Loyd was appointed as a director with the Carson City Library in 2014. She was appointed by Governor Brian Sandoval (R) to serve with the Nevada Commission on Educational Technology in 2015. Loyd was given the Librarian of the Year Award by the Nevada Library Association in 2017. Loyd has served with the advisory council of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada, with the Western Nevada College Foundation, and as a 2019 Emerge Nevada Graduate Student Representative with the Emerge Nevada Board.[1]
