Elections for the Maine State Senate took place in 2016. The primary election took place on June 14, 2016, and the general election was held on November 8, 2016. The candidate filing deadline was March 15, 2016.[1] Incumbent Justin Alfond (D) did not seek re-election because of term-limits.
Benjamin Chipman defeated Seth Baker and Adam Pontius in the Maine State Senate District 27 general election.[2]
