Seth Mangini participated in Ballotpedia's candidate survey on May 7, 2018. The survey questions appear in bold, and Seth Mangini's responses follow below.[1]
What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
“ | 1.) Affordable housing and heathcare
2.) Well paying jobs |
” |
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?
“ | One of the issues that Seth is most passionate about is energy. He completed a Master's Degree at Montana State where he worked in a lab that developed carbon capture and sequestration technology for the Department of Energy. He would like to put together a plan that would install this technology on Colstrip Power Station. He would also like to partially convert Colstrip to burn biomass. The effect would be that we could use Colstrip to remove CO2 from the atmosphere. We could sell this carbon negative energy to states like Washington and Oregon that have strict carbon emissions caps. We could save jobs in Montana and sell a product that neighboring states are willing to buy. In addition we can try and attract the high tech companies that manufacture CCS equipment to Montana. We need well paying jobs in this state and this is a good way to provide them.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]
