I have a wonderful wife and a 5 year old son, and live in Inman, SC.
Although I never intended to be a politician, after not having a choice for over 8 years in my representation I decided that I would give the people of my district that choice. I am running to give a voice back to my community and to hold the incumbent responsible for their voting record.- Legislation should be based on evidence and scientific research, not feelings or personal creeds. We need to return to legislation based on facts, not costly 'pick-me' identity signaling.
- Over 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, even more so in South Carolina. Costs of everyday living expenses such as healthcare and child care are too high, and wages for essential workers such as our teachers are too low. We need legislators working to improve the lives of ALL South Carolinians.
- One core role elected representatives is to protect their constituents from predatory outside actors. When big investors come to SC looking to establish data centers or crypto farms, we need to ensure they are not taking advantage of our communities and have protections for the people living here so their utility bills, water, and power are not affected.
