Certified through North Carolina Sheriff Training and Standards Commission: -Advance Law Enforcement Certification -Advance Service Award -Certified Law Enforcement Instructor Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award – 2001 Pitt County, NC
Life Saving Metal – Pitt County Sheriff’s Office – 2009- 1. Equipping every Patrol Car with an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and having Deputies respond to all Cardiac Arrest Patience within the County. This program was started in Pitt County and once Deputies started responding to these calls, survival rate increased from 30.8% to 80.8%, that's a 50% increase in survival rate, thereby saving lives in the Community.
- 2. Enacting a Domestic Violence Prevention Unit. A DV Unit is established to provide a specialized, compassionate, and highly trained response to domestic-related crimes. Its purpose is to protect victims, reduce repeat violence, and ensure offenders are held fully accountable. By conducting thorough investigations, offering immediate victim support, monitoring high-risk offenders, and working closely with prosecutors and community partners, the unit strengthens safety for families and promotes a proactive, prevention-focused approach to domestic violence in the community.
- 3. Strong Enforcement on seeking out Child Sex Predators, by having a Detective Certified with SBI-ICAC, and Partnering with a company that takes these Tips and using A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) to locate the Sex Predators in seconds instead of it taking a human 4 hours. I want to remove these sex predators off our streets before they can get to our children to Protect our children.
I want to help Save our elderly, save our children from Child Sex Predators, work to prevent Domestic Violence, save the drug addicts, by getting them the resources to return to society drug free. These are just a few of the many programs I will enact if elected. I want to advance the Carteret County Sheriff's Office, to make it one of the Best in the State of NC.
