I'm a regular guy tired of the lies. I'm 31. I don't come from a name or money. I am an Independant running under the Democratic Party. I worked as a janitor for several years. I spent a brief time in the U.S. Marine Corps. (Which were the best/worst days of my life.) But I never regret it. I pro 2A, old school capitalist, and I am pretty handy when need be. I feel the parties have done nothing but divide us in recent years. I want solutions not the blame game. I want problems solved, not finger pointing. Why are we not trying to bring industry? Why are we not focusing on corruption in politics? Why is everyone saying nothing can be done when we have so much more power as regular people then the politicians? No man need fear his government, for without him his government cannot exist.
  • I want to focus on the drugs and human trafficking. I have already been coordinating with people in law enforcement on this. It's time we run these monsters out of town and clean the streets up.
  • I want ease of access to mental health for everyone. there is this stigma in our state that it's a personal problem. But when a tragedy happens people always say that person was mentally unwell. I have already endorsed a few people who wish to donate land and material to building these facilities. If done correctly it will create jobs as well as help a good cause. And to boot it won't cost us taxpayers a dime.
  • Transparency in Government. there is so much fluff and lies spoon fed to those of us on the bottom just so someone can stay in office and collect a check. Did you know the state of Ohio raised property tax by 20% and didn't let the people have a vote? Taxation without representation is the very thing our founder rebelled against. I give my word to you. That every 3 weeks while in office I will post on all social media a video. Detailing bills and legislation before your State House and Counties that will affect you. This way you will know what is going on and you can write, email, or call your government officials to let them know how you feel on the bill. let's make the voice of the people roar back to life in our government.
Anti-Corruption, anti-drugs, anti-human trafficking, pro 2A, industry and jobs, and mental health.
I have people I like. But I don't really look up to anyone.
I have a couple books that I think people should read. "Progress and Poverty" is a good economics book. I also recommend the U.S. and State Constitutions. (Learn your liberties) I also, think people should pick a few history books as well as different political books. Not just ones that agree with you but ones you disagree with. This will allow a person to form their own opinion but also to understand the mindset of others.
I think what would be most important to me if elected would be getting the job done. Yeah, it's gonna make a few people mad, but if you try to please everyone you please no one. If we can get people back on their feet. Put money back in their pockets, lower interest rates on home loans and car loans. Ban "convenience fees" and "service charges" on things. It won't make a major difference to everyone. But if it helps that mom who has to decide between paying the bills and feeding her kids (like my mom had too) then it's working. We can't throw money at the problem either. That doesn't work. But we can fix this mess if we put our heads together and plan properly.
I'm a thinker and doer. I don't stand on the sideline and wait and see. I actually get out and try. I learn from my failures and improve myself.
I think hands on approach is the best. Don't dance around and be a figure head. Actually lead. Put effort into things. Be at charity events, help with those even. Show up to town hall meetings, go and talk to people and gauge the public opinion. Be the voice the people want and take charge when needed. Be a real leader.
I'm not focused on a legacy. I'm focused on doing the work and job.
9/11 was the first true event in my life. I was 8 years old and was in the first grade. I remember they ended school early that day and I remember passing classrooms that had teachers surrounding the t.v. that used to hang from the ceiling.
My first job was at age 15 cutting grass for a campground. My first "true" job was building dashboards for chevy at an off shoot of GM. I was only there for 2 months working 3 a.m. to 3 p.m., 7 days a week, with no days off and only making $7.25 an hour. I left cause I sneezed one day, and it was just solid black. I wasn't going to put my health in jeopardy for a company that doesn't care for you.
"The Count of Monte Cristo" and "Treasure Island" I also like a lot of works by H.P. Lovecraft. But I ask again why is this a question a political form? What is the relevance?
Why is this a question on a political form?
The "Ideal" would be that they stop all the infighting and political party line divide. Actually, work on making the state better, not running it into the ground while they fight and argue.
I think growth and stability. Here in lower Ohio, we got hit hard when the mills left. We went from being the heart of the nation to its Rust Belt. And we are dancing that line again. People are leaving all the time and there is no real work. I personally know people who drive two hours to work. I myself have even done so. We need industry, innovation, education. If we can manage those properly, then things will be a bit better for the next generation.
It can be. they would know the ins and outs of it. But I don't like a "Career Politian" Just tells me they are in for fame. I also, think it puts them at a higher risk of being paid for in some manner. Our founders didn't have much political history. They founded a nation. We are led by people who have too much political history and are being run into the ground.
I do. I think the more we work together across party lines. It can get things done faster and make the state work better.
I do like a few figures in the past. But I'm not them. I'm me. So, I model myself in my own way. Regardless of people liking me or not.
I may consider it. But I wouldn't make it a career. That's not right. In a few short years I will be a bit out of touch with the next generation coming. So, at max only two offices if I ever did. Nothing more.
I have been going door to door talking to people one on one. People are tired, afraid, angry. They feel ignored. I can't tell you a specific story, because I have heard to many. I can tell you from personal experience though. Come to me when you have to watch your mother decide if paying bills or buying food is the best option. Come to when you start doing summer jobs at 15 and giving her your money just so we can make it to the next pay day. Come to me when you had to eat a large pizza, a slice a day for an entire week as your only food because it was the cheaper option. Come to me when your home goes up for sale and you can't afford to buy it and only by the grace of God your neighbor buys it and says you can stay. That's my personal story at least. But I know of others who would break your heart and soul.
Who wrote these questions on a political form?
I think only in a true emergency. And even then, it must well regulated.
Educational Reform. I have already drafted a bill to focus on actually teaching kids. Stop the standardize test and common core math. Teach them fact-based information. Let the teachers who studied for years do their job. Teach a Home Economics class. Show kids how to cook, clean, sew, and even write their name in cursive. Skills they will use in life. Balance a check book and bank account. Teach them. I also think public school staff should be both politically and religiously neutral while on school grounds.
Ohio Education Association, Gun Sense Voters, Ohio AFSCME Retiree Chapter 1184, Clermont County democrats, Scioto County Democrats, Adams County Democrats, Brown County Democrats
I'm not much of a committee man. They are good though. They can help ease the burden of running things in communities and such. But we also must be watchful. A committee can become corrupt as well.
I 100% support the idea. We need to be more open with where our tax dollars are going, what the politicians are doing. People like to complain, but never go past that. I always hear the same lame excuses. "You can't change it." My response to that is "Says who?"
I would make sure there is better protections for legislation and the people voting on them. Less of the politicians pushing agendas and more actual representation to the people.
